The framework of restrictive measures adopted by the European Union against Russia is constantly evolving and poses significant operational complexity for businesses engaged in international trade.
The most recent sanctions packages have expanded the scope of prohibitions and strengthened the responsibilities of EU operators, who are now required to actively oversee all stages of the export process.
The compliance obligation applies to both direct and indirect supplies, making it essential to carry out thorough checks on both subjective (recipients of the goods) and objective/product (goods and technologies subject to restrictions) aspects.
This webinar will explore the main risk areas related to violations or circumvention of restrictive measures, the regulatory framework on dual-use items, licensing procedures with UAMA (the Italian export control authority), and the customs liability of exporters.
The session will conclude with a focus on the strategic importance of adopting advanced customs and tax risk management systems, such as the Internal Compliance Programme (ICP) and the Tax Control Framework, in line with the principles of cooperative compliance.
The webinar will end with a Q\&A session open to all participants.
